Behandelmogelijkheden voor kinderen met spraakontwikkelingsstoornissen

Abstract

So far, this special issue has mainly focused on the diagnosis of speech sound disorders. This article discusses treatment options. After process diagnosis, linked to Terband's model and based on Levelt's scheme, a diagnosis is following that provides direction to the therapy. Each diagnosis requires a different approach and treatment, with special attention to the problems of the child in question. The various therapy methods and treatment programs for speech sound disorders that are currently available for the Dutch language are discussed and described, arranged according to the problems for which they were developed. Principles and structure are described, as well as the available evidence.
